The Swedish Pergo Group is one of the world´s leading manufacturers of laminate flooring and has invented and developed new, innovative and revolutionary products and technology. Pergo provides high quality floorings, with distinctive designs and unique product properties, for both home and commercial environments.

Through the acquisition of Pergo in March 2007 and the integration of the existing production capacities of medium-density fibreboards, Pfleiderer can offer laminate flooring completeley self-produced for the first time. The integration allows Pfleiderer to increase its cost efficiency, improve its utilization of capacity and achieve significant cost savings.

In Western Europe, with the two Swedish Pergo plants in Trelleborg and Perstorp, Pfleiderer is active for the first time as a producer and supplier in the market for high-quality laminate flooring. At the same time, the integration also creates a good starting point for the planned expansion of this high-margin business into Eastern Europe.
